Engine Suppliers

The 63 ft. crash boats were generally built with the Hall-Scott Engines described, although there were some exceptions.  The exceptions  are noted in the appropriate model description in the 63' section under Design & Construction.

The 85 ft. crash boats were universally powered by two Packard 4M-2500 engines.

The 104  ft. crash boats were built over a long time period and over the years were powered by engines from Kermath, later by Hall-Scott, and finally Packard.

See the Sub-Menus under the "Engines" button to the left for photos and details on each manufacturer.
